Der Simon-Loschen-Leuchtturm gilt als der älteste an der Nordsee und ist heute noch in Betrieb. Hier trifft norddeutsche Backsteingotik auf moderne Technik. Der Turm wurde im Jahr 1853 von dem Architekten Simon Loschen erbaut, einem wichtigen Vertreter des neugotischen Baustils in Bremerhaven.

Der Simon Loschen-Leuchtturm, der als Bremerhavener Oberfeuer dient. Er ist übrigens der älteste noch in Betrieb befindliche Festland-Leuchtturm an der Nordseeküste. Wahrscheinlich auch ein Grund, warum er seit 1984 unter Denkmalschutz steht. In den Jahren von 1853 bis 1855 wurde der Leuchtturm an der Nordseite der 1852 fertiggestellten.
